North Hedge Ltd operates two hedge trimming machines, one larger shelter belt trimmer and one smaller machine more suitable for domestic garden hedges and site restricted access.

Residential Hedge Cutting
Our smaller machine is suitable for trimming hedges with sides up to 5m high and final topping heights up to 3m high - reach is very dependent on ground contour and obstructions. We recommend maintaining a height of 1.5 - 2m for easy longterm maintenance.

- Narrow access sites. Machine fits through a 1.3m gate and width to cut is 1.6m from obstruction to final cut face of hedge.
Citrus & Avocado Tree Pruning
We can provide a pre pruning service for citrus trees. Pruning by machine trimming the sides and top opens up the tree for faster manual pruning, saving on expensive labor bills. Avocado tree topping is also used to keep growth in check and keep the trees within easy picking height.
